Wang Sikryeom holds an important northern base at Seogyeong. After Hyejong’s death he moves troops to the capital, suppresses Wang Gyu’s faction and supports Jeongjong.
Legacy
His power connected a regional garrison with decisions at court. Much of this career belongs to early Goryeo after the Later Three Kingdoms wars.
