In 532, Guhyeong surrenders his kingdom to Silla. Descendants including Kim Muryeok and Kim Yusin later become important figures in Silla.
Legacy
His surrender ends one kingdom but does not erase its royal family. The monument called Guhyeong’s tomb also carries local traditions beyond what can be established historically.
