Jeong Jungbu

In 1170, Jeong Jungbu joined Yi Uibang and others in a military coup. They removed King Uijong and overturned the political dominance of civil officials.
Legacy
Abuses and corruption associated with his household fueled opposition. In 1179, Gyeong Daeseung’s faction killed him and ended his hold on power.
