Jang Bogo
A maritime leader who operated East Asian trade networks from Cheonghaejin.

After military service in Tang, he returned to Silla and established Cheonghaejin on Wando. He led maritime forces and trade networks before his involvement in royal succession ended in assassination.

Cheonghae's military base supported maritime routes and exchange. His networks reveal the sea as both a passage for people and a foundation of power.
