A physician who led compilation of Dongui Bogam.
Key events
A royal physician and medical compiler, he produced Dongui Bogam and Korean-language works on childbirth and emergency treatment, including Eonhae Taesan Jibyo and Eonhae Gugeupbang.
Legacy
Dongui Bogam organized medical knowledge for practice. Its historical importance does not make its treatments a substitute for modern medical guidance.
