A late-Goryeo general who fought Red Turbans and maritime raiders.
Key events
He fought Red Turban forces and maritime raiders and suppressed rebellions. His proposed Liaodong campaign in 1388 ended with Yi Seonggye's withdrawal from Wihwa Island, his removal, and execution.
Legacy
He defended Goryeo through repeated crises. His final conflict arose where loyalty to that dynasty met the political forces creating another.
